Unlimited Community Care Services is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe — in line with the Australian Privacy Principles and the NDIS Practice Standards.

Information we collect

  • Identity & contact details — name, date of birth, address, phone, email, emergency contacts.
  • NDIS information — your NDIS number, plan goals, funding categories and plan management type.
  • Health & support information — disability, support needs, medical history, medications, allergies, and notes from support workers and allied health professionals.
  • Service records — shift notes, incident reports, communication logs and feedback you share with us.
  • Website data — basic analytics (pages viewed, device type) when you visit our website.

How we use your information

  • Deliver safe, person-centred supports aligned with your NDIS plan and goals.
  • Coordinate with you, your nominees, plan managers, support coordinators and treating practitioners.
  • Meet our obligations under the NDIS Practice Standards, NDIS Code of Conduct and Australian Privacy Principles.
  • Recruit, train and supervise our workers so the right person is matched to your supports.
  • Respond to feedback, compliments and complaints and continually improve our services.

How we protect your information

  • Records are stored in secure, access-controlled systems with encryption in transit.
  • Only workers who need information to provide your supports can access it.
  • Staff sign confidentiality agreements and complete privacy training.
  • Paper records (where used) are stored in locked cabinets and destroyed securely when no longer required.

Sharing your information

  • We only share information with your consent, or where required by law (for example, mandatory reporting or NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requests).
  • We may share information with your plan manager, support coordinator, GP or allied health team to coordinate your supports — only what is necessary.
  • We do not sell your information. We do not share it for marketing purposes.

  • Our website uses minimal cookies to remember your accessibility preferences (text size, contrast).
  • We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how people use the site so we can improve it. No information that identifies you personally is collected through the website.

Your rights

  • Ask to see the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
  • Withdraw consent or change your communication preferences at any time.
  • Make a complaint about how we have handled your information — we will respond within 30 days.
  • Escalate unresolved concerns to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (ndiscommission.gov.au).
